1. About Us

Reach the 619 is a project of One Alabama, a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit organization. In these Terms and Conditions, "One Alabama," "Reach the 619," "we," "us," and "our" refer to One Alabama d/b/a Reach the 619.

These Terms govern your use of reachthe619.org and participation in the Reach the 619 text messaging program.

2. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes, including learning about Reach the 619, checking voter-status resources, volunteering, applying for programs, participating in events, partnering with us, or supporting our work.

You may not use the website to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access to systems or information, distribute malicious software, impersonate another person, or violate applicable law.

3. Reach the 619 Text Messaging Program

Program description

Reach the 619 may send recurring informational and promotional text messages to individuals who expressly choose to receive them.

Informational messages may include volunteer coordination, event reminders, fellowship or partnership follow-up, civic-engagement information, and responses concerning opportunities an individual has requested.

Promotional messages may include information about events, trainings, fundraising, organizational initiatives, campaigns, and opportunities to support or participate in our work.

Consent

Participation in our text messaging program is voluntary. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of volunteering, donating, receiving services, submitting a form, or otherwise engaging with One Alabama or Reach the 619.

Your consent applies only to One Alabama d/b/a Reach the 619 and to the types of messages you selected. We do not use purchased lists to enroll people in the text messaging program.

Age eligibility

The Reach the 619 text messaging program is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. Individuals under 18 may participate only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your selections, interests, and interactions with Reach the 619. Messages are recurring but are not sent on a fixed schedule.

Charges

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging and data charges may apply to messages sent and received. One Alabama and Reach the 619 do not charge a separate fee for participating in the text messaging program.

Opting out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will receive no further messages from that number unless you provide new consent.

Supported carriers

Delivery is subject to your wireless carrier's network availability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all devices or carriers may be supported.

Changes or termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the text messaging program at any time. We may also update these messaging terms. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, subject to applicable law.

4. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information, including mobile information and text messaging consent, is governed by our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may link to services operated by third parties, including voter-information resources, social-media platforms, event services, and donation-processing platforms. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.

6. Informational Nature of Website Content

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the content is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for official election information or professional advice.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
